Fenway Health turned 50 this year, and though the pandemic precluded gathering for its traditional Men’s Event and Dinner Party galas, they raised over $350,000 at a virtual gala celebration. Keynote speaker Dr. Anthony Fauci, long-time chief of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Lab, spoke on his long-term research partnership in HIV/AIDS research with the Fenway Institute and with the Fenway Institute’s Medical Research Director and Co-Chair Dr. Keneth Mayer. The fabulous Nina West hosted, Neo Gcabo, Mel Fine and Fenway’s own FCHords entertained, and celebrity guests included Roxanne Gay and Big Freedia. Guests bid on items in a virtual auction and striked poses on the virtual “Danger Photobooth.”
