Forty years after the first AIDS Walk Boston, over 300 attendees stepped off from the same location as those first marchers. Over the years, the event formerly known as AIDS Action Committee’s Walk for Life has expanded, through Fenway Health, to support health-care initiatives serving all LGBTQ+ people. Walkers, runners, and volunteers raised more than $100K this year to support HIV/AIDS prevention, education, and treatment, as well as essential health and wellness programs for LGBTQIA+ people across Massachusetts.
