As part of its OUT in Your Neighborhood strategy, The Theater Offensive (TTO) presented nationally-renowned choreographer Sean Dorsey’s latest work The Secret History of Love in Roxbury’s Hibernian Hall. Based on interviews with transgender and queer seniors from local neighborhoods, the dance theater piece spoke to the secret love affairs, outlawed history of love, and the underground ways that members of the LGBT community found each other through the decades. On opening night, Gunner Scott received the TTO’s Out on the Edge award, honoring community members who have gone above and beyond to break boundaries for LGBT arts and activism.
