Over 250 people braved the cold on a snowy Saturday to march in response to the Trump administration’s federal funding cuts, which led to Fenway Health’s cutting off gender-affirming care for trans minors. The march was organized by a coalition of advocate groups, including Protect Trans Futures, Boston Dyke March and Trans Resistance. Several speakers, including Elijah Oyenuga and Muhammad Burhan, rallied the crowd. “We’re calling on our leaders to step up and protect our health care with the Trans Healthcare Shield. This legislative package is designed to strengthen access to gender affirming care, create public health care options in Boston, protect abortion and gender affirming care providers from identification and harassment, and strengthen our civil rights,” read the call on Instagram.—FB More: linktr.ee/protecttransfutures
