At the 25th Annual Audre Lorde Cancer Awareness Brunch, hosted by Fenway Health, the theme was “Harmony in Healing: Weaving Equity into our Shared Future.” Karen Burns White received the Spirit of Fire Award. The Trailblazer Award went to Ms. Q, and Rev. Irene Monroe received the Lifetime Achievement Award. The event also honors Audre Lorde, the self-described “Black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet” who battled cancer for 14 years.”
