With a north wind calming Provincetown Harbor but bringing unseasonably cold water, the 37th Provincetown Swim for Life & Paddler Flotilla welcomed 310 swimmers and raised $350,000+ for HIV/AIDS services, women’s health and the community. This year’s event, sponsored by the Provincetown Community Compact, included a Swim in Wellfleet’s Great Pond and supports 13 beneficiaries with the most funds raised since it began in 1988. Boston’s LANES Swim Team joined swimmers from across the country and from Geneva, Hong Kong, England, Bulgaria and Canada, while 15 swam in place in their hometowns. Tim Convery from Tim-Scapes created this year’s design. With special thanks to the Town of Provincetown and the Rescue Squad, Director Jay Critchley announced the 38th Swim on September 6, 2025.
