Over 70 guests donnned their best Harlem Renaissance-themed attire for a celebration of community, pride and joy at Mass. Commission on LGBTQ Youth’s annual Gayla. The Gayla acts as both a fundraiser and a celebration of the incredible work done by young people, Commission members and staff and community partners. In addition to this year’s presentation of the Jeff Perrotti Scholarship to students who have exhibited outstanding leadership skills in their communities, VIP guests included attorney and reality TV host Preston Mitchum, Emmy-nominated film director and House Mother of The House of Garcon Twiggy Pucci, and Candace Persuasion, who also served as MC.
