The Greater Boston PFLAG Executive Team and friends from Boston traveled to New York City for the 50th anniversary PFLAG National Gala. Leaders across the country shared inspiring stories. Suzanne Manford Swan, daughter of PFLAG founder Jeanne Manford, reflected on the origins of the organization. Big Freedia, recipient of the Breaking Barriers Award, entertained the crowd. And Olympic Gold Medalist Tom Daly delivered a beautiful speech upon receiving the George Takai Award. Greater Boston PFLAG shares the PFLAG National group’s mission of creating a caring, just and affirming world for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.
