The Boston Bruins hosted their annual Hockey Is for Everyone Night, presented by TD Bank, taking on the New York Islanders. During the starting lineup announcement, the Bruins welcomed to the ice an honorary Hockey Is for Everyone lineup including six hockey players representing members of the LGBTQIA+, sled hockey, Black and women’s hockey communities. Players showed their support by incorporating American Sign Language t-shirts, Pride hats and rainbow-colored tape into their pre-game routines. All of the players’ signed, rainbow-taped sticks were auctioned off through the Boston Bruins Foundation with proceeds going to Boston Pride Hockey, New England’s first LGBTQIA+ and ally-friendly hockey organization.
