The 42nd annual First Event Conference for transgender and gender nonconforming people and those who love and support them returned with over 1,000 participants from New England and across the US. There were over 150 educational workshops and talks, an LGBTQ Job Fair hosted by the Massachusetts LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, and a vendor room with over 30 vendors. Evening events included the always popular transFormed Fashion show in the Grand Ballroom, Athena West’s Love Ball, a comedy show hosted by Mitzzy Picardo, a jazz café with Linda Marks and CiCi Eberle, performances by singer-songwriter Namoli Brennet, and the annual Francis J. Cardullo Banquet featuring poet, performer and artist ALOK as keynote speaker. The Trans Community of New England’s flagship event was their first full-scale conference since COVID. More: tcne.org
