Some 30 participants socialized, shared stories and connected at a recent social hosted by Andover Elder Services at The Robb Center, where they enjoyed pumpkin pie, apple cider and music by Chris Carter, funded by the Andover Senior Community Friends. Highlights included two spotlight stories from Andover’s own Sandis Wright and Renee Manning. Wright is a member of the town’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission and school committee board member. Manning is a transgender advocate and graduate of Andover Newton Theological School working toward ordination in the United Church of Christ. Both talked powerfully about being gay and transgender.
