Determined to not let COVID cancel another year, the Trans Community of New England held a scaled-down First Event Conference this January. First Event is an annual conference for transgender and gender nonconforming people and those who love and support them. TCNE hosted about 100 attendees at each of two events in the grand ballroom of the Boston Park Plaza—the TransCelebration dinner, fashion and variety show and the Frances J. Cardullo Banquet featuring singer-songwriter Adi Sun. Additional attendees joined virtually, watching the live-stream hosted by Stevie Stevenson and Dee Dee Sambuca. More: firstevent.org
