Queen City Pride held its third annual festival on Juneteenth to celebrate the intersectionality of the Black and LGBTQ communities, and to expand awareness of the contribution both are making as well as the work still to be done to achieve equity for Black and queer people. This year’s festivities also focused on efforts to increase education, awareness and inclusivity for youth and transgender people. There was live painting, drag performances, speakers, a youth tent with pronoun pins and resources, a drag queen story hour hosted by Chi Chi Marvel, games, a beer, wine and cocktail garden, food trucks and other queer/ally vendors, resource groups and much more.More: queencitypridenh.org
