This year Hingham Pride Project distributed 4,000 Progress Pride flags and window clings to local towns, public schools and the Trustees of the Reservation at World’s End. The Derby Street Shops donated a dollar for every picture posted on social media with the hashtag #DerbyPrideWall, and the Pride Project donated $1,000 worth of LGBTQ-centered books for all ages to the Derby Street Shops Free Inclusive Library. Local businesses also hosted Pride storytellings and fundraising events. And the entire community worked together to make LGBTQ+ support more visible across the South Shore, educated people about what the Progress Pride flag meant, and helped people feel safe and loved.
