Financial planning professionals from all over the US gathered to hear the latest in planning strategies for LGBT and unmarried couples and families at the biennial PridePlanners Conference. Speakers included the Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, Massachusetts Senate President Stan Rosenberg, named plaintiff in the historic Massachusetts marriage equality court decision, Julie Goodridge, as well as topical experts on a range of planning subjects such as estate and elder planning, taxes, planning for HIV+, the psychology of guiding LGBT clients, the ACLU and more. Boston area speakers also included Scott Squillace, Lillian Gonzalez, and Michelle LaPointe.  The Conference was chaired by local financial planners and PridePlanners Board members, Sharon Rich and Stuart Armstrong and other Boston area planners and Board members who assisted were Deb Neiman, Susan Moore, and Sue Burns.  PridePlanners operates its conferences as official pre-conference events to the Financial Planning Association’s annual national conference.  FPA is the United States’ largest member association of financial planners with a dedicated commitment to communities of diversity.
