Harvard Square | Cambridge | December 15

Members and allies of the South Asian LGBTQ community in the Boston area gathered in Harvard Square the day after the area’s first snow storm to protest the recent decision by the Supreme Court of India to reinstate Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which outlaws “carnal intercourse against the order of nature,” and is frequently interpreted to outlaw homosexual relations. Fifteen to twenty individuals braved the inclement weather to join in solidarity with other protesters who were gathering in places around the world.
