MassEquality’s Taste of Provincetown

Provincetown Art Association and Museum | Provincetown | August 28MassEquality held its inaugural Taste of Provincetown fundraiser August 28 at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. Nearly 300 guests sampled bite-sized culinary creations from 11 Provincetown restaurants and sipped wine from Truro Vineyards. Marine Staff Sgt. Eric Alva, the first American wounded in the war in Iraq, received the Eric Rofes Memorial Award for courage in social justice activism. The event was hosted by co-chairs Lisa Drapkin and and Joe DeMartino and honorary co-chairs state Rep. Sarah Peake and state Sen. Robert O’Leary, Jr. Funds raised from the event will support MassEquality’s grassroots advocacy to advance LGBT equality in school, in marriage and family life, at work and in retirement.
