How refreshing is this 21+ fashion show? Lots of runways are fabulous, but how many celebrate designers, models and artists representing intersectional identities across gender, sexuality, body diversity, disability, race and ethnicity? This one does all that and more. At Queer AF’s “Design the Future” show, local and international designers (including several from multiple seasons of “Project Runway”), artists and models take to the runway to celebrate being unique and coming together to eliminate bias, stigma and shame. Event proceeds go to Love Your Labels, the Worcester, Mass.-based nonprofit that supports LGBTQ+ youth through art, fashion and design; and they also works with families and communities to create inclusive and loving space. And we haven’t even mentioned the special guest headliner…
space.
