Beantown Softball League seeks support for trip to World Series in DC

For the first time ever, Boston is sending a softball team to the LGBTQ women and nonbinary softball World Series in Washington, DC, which in itself is a victory.

The Beantown Softball League is Boston’s largest and longest-running LGBTQ sports organization, and they’ve dedicated all their time and effort towards increasing female and nonbinary presence in the league. They’ve earned a chance at a championship run at this year’s ASANA Softball World Series to compete, and they have their eye on the trophy!

The team started a GoFundMe to offset the costs of traveling and competing, and they’re hoping community support will empower them as they aspire to represent Boston and become champions.
Per the GoFundMe, “We are raising money to benefit the team’s uniforms, equipment, and tournament travel expenses. Any donation will help make an impact! Thank you in advance for contributing to this cause, which will help bring Boston’s LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary athletes to the national stage.”
