This year’s Pride events in Worcester were put on hold due to the pandemic. However, thanks to the efforts of Nathan Manna of Northbridge, Massachusetts’ Democratic Town Committee, a Pride Flag-raising ceremony took place in front of City Hall. After a brief speaking program, Worcester Mayor Joe Petty read a proclamation establishing Pride Month in Worcester followed by a moment of silence for LGBTQ lives lost due to senseless hate and violence. Masks and social distancing were required.Â
