You’ve already been wearing a mask all year. Now, wear one for a reason that’s actually fun — a virtual masquerade ball to benefit Sojourner House in Providence, Rhode Island, this Friday, November 13, from 7 to 8 p.m. (with an afterparty from 8 to 9 p.m.)
One hundred percent of proceeds (tickets by donation) from Sojourner House’s 10th annual masquerade ball support the organization’s programs dedicated to ending partner and sexual violence. Among these are first-in-the-nation initiatives focused on LGBTQ communities, who often face greater difficulty accessing housing assistance, support groups, individual counseling, and other trauma-informed services that Sojourner House has been providing for over 40 years.
This year’s virtual shindig will feature emcee Joe Wilson Jr., Trinity Rep Actor, and bring back Miss Kitty Litter plus cameos by other local stars. They’re be music, entertainment, and lots of fun ways to participate both leading up to and on the night of the event — keeping with the spirit of our well-known and beloved event!
