You’ve already been wearing a mask all year—now, wear one for a reason that’s actually fun. Sojourner House, a Providence, Rhode Island-based nonprofit will host a virtual version of its yearly masquerade ball, a fundraiser (tickets are by donation) to support the organization’s programs dedicated to ending partner and sexual violence. Among them are first-in-the-nation initiatives focused on LGBTQ communities, who often face greater difficulty accessing housing assistance, support groups, individual counseling, and other trauma-informed services that Sojourner House has been providing for over 40 years. So go ahead: Mask up, log on, and have fun during a live party (and DJ-soundtracked after party) with cameos by local stars like Ocean State drag legend Kitty Litter.
