The Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors today announced Alexandria Eberhardt as the Chamber’s new Executive Director. Eberhardt most recently served as President and CEO of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce where she honed her skills in business advocacy and community engagement across 14 communities.
“As our Chamber grows and matures, we are so fortunate to have Alex’s experience and vision to lead us forward,” said Benjamin Perkins, Chair of the Board. “Our members are an important part of the Commonwealth’s economy and we are committed to making the necessary resources and support available to ensure Massachusetts has a thriving LGBTQ+ business community.”
Prior to leading the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, Eberhardt worked as a director of industry partnerships in Rhode Island. In this role, she focused on building workforce development pipelines for growing industries, both at the state and national levels. She has also been an educator for more than 15 years at various institutions of higher education around New England.
“I am thrilled to join the MA LGBT Chamber of Commerce team,” said Eberhardt. “This opportunity aligns perfectly with my passion for building inclusive communities and driving economic growth. Together, we can empower LGBTQ+ businesses and create a vibrant ecosystem that benefits everyone.”
The Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce was founded in 2018 and has grown to serve around 400 members across the state. The Chamber also has more than 70 corporate partners.
Eberhardt begins her role on Tuesday, October 15.
