Sure, you could spend another night watching a reality show on your couch, or you could get your butt to one of Boston’s buzziest nightclubs for Boston Drag Gauntlet. This live competition, created by New England entertainer Kandi Dishe, kicks off its sixth cycle in September and runs every other Tuesday through mid-November. Each week, drag performers will face a challenge that sends one of them packing—and the rest one step closer to the crown. What’s more, this is a celebration of all kinds of drag, so expect to find performers who dabble in comedy, creepiness, kookiness and camp.
