AIDS Walk Boston is back with a hybrid model — in-person or virtual — at DCR’s Carson Beach in South Boston on Sunday, October 2. Opening ceremonies begin at 9 a.m., with a warmup, speaking program, VIP breakfast and award ceremony. The walk and the run both begin at 10 a.m. Afterward, there’s the Wellness Festival, with incredible local musicians (with headliner Cliff Notez), sponsors and food booths, plus much celebration and a fun “mini race.” (See the Day of Event page for details.) Started in 1986, the AIDS Walk and the thousands of participants have made a significant impact in the lives of those living with HIV/AIDS.
