The self-avowed asexual has long been popular in gay comedy clubs: maybe for her conservative-spearing stand-up, maybe for an assortment of pantsuits that is second only to Ellen’s. Poundstone grew up in Sudbury, Massachusetts, and cut her teeth at Boston comedy clubs. Now a regular voice on NPR’s “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me,” she returns to her native New England to bring glib observations about her politics and personal life with a quartet of shows.
