Fenway Health [last week] announced the promotion of Dallas Ducar, MSN, RN, NP, CNL, FAAN, to Chief Strategy Officer and that Sara McMullen has joined the organization as Chief Development Officer. Together, these leadership appointments strengthen Fenway’s capacity to advance its strategic priorities, expand its impact, and serve LGBTQIA+ people, people living with HIV/AIDS, and the broader community.
As Fenway enters the new fiscal year from a position of greater strength and stability, the organization continues to navigate healthcare reimbursement pressures, policy shifts, rising costs, and ongoing uncertainty surrounding federal funding and protections for the communities it serves. The appointments advance Fenway’s strategic plan and its commitment to strengthening long-term sustainability through strategic growth, partnerships, and philanthropy.

Dallas and Sara bring the strategic and philanthropic leadership we need to carry out our plan to expand services, strengthen partnerships, and build the resources needed to serve our communities for decades to come.”
In her expanded role as Chief Strategy Officer, Ducar will lead Fenway’s long-term growth strategy, overseeing a new Business Development and Project Management Office, with responsibility for strategic partnerships, communications, government relations, and community engagement. The new office will help Fenway identify, evaluate, and implement new opportunities for service expansion, organizational growth, and mission-aligned revenue-generating initiatives.
Since joining Fenway in 2024 as Executive Vice President for Donor Engagement and External Relations, Ducar has strengthened relationships with supporters, partners and policymakers, expanded the organization’s advocacy efforts and helped elevate Fenway’s voice during a pivotal period for LGBTQIA+ health and community health.
Before joining Fenway, Ducar founded and led Transhealth, where she built an innovative healthcare organization serving transgender and gender-diverse patients across New England. Dallas’s entrepreneurial experience founding and scaling Transhealth, along with the leadership she has already demonstrated at Fenway, positions her well to guide Fenway’s long-term strategy, growth, and sustainability.
