Pride Center of Vermont to relaunch as an online organization

WCAX CBS-TV of Burlington reported the Pride Center of Vermont is relaunching as an online organization following a newly released report the Center conducted over the past months since it’s temporary closure, due to financial issues, in October 2025.

“We believe radical queer joy, paired with holistic innovation, can become a powerful collective tool for change,” shared Austin G. the project lead, in the announcement of the report from the Center. “This partnership reflects a commitment to building community-centered systems that help people find one another, support one another, and imagine new possibilities together.”

Reports WCAX:

The Pride Center of Vermont is relaunching as an online organization with new research on what the LGBTQ community needs.

The Pride Center shut down its physical location in Burlington in October. The organization then received an anonymous donation that breathed new life into it.

The Pride Center released the results of a community mapping report, saying the queer community wants connections that cross regions and better access to health resources. The Pride Center says it is using this research to determine the organization’s new statewide direction.

“This next iteration of the Pride Center, per the Community Mapping Report, I think, will look much more like a backbone for those organizations and for queer Vermonters across the state, and really be infrastructure rather than just executing on direct service programs that already exist in these communities,” said Connor Daley, a Pride Center board member.

The Pride Center is also sponsoring a website for finding LGBTQ-friendly events and services called “Queer-era.” The Pride Center’s official relaunch is set for later this month.
