Approximately 1,000 guests enjoyed an evening of networking, passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and more at Boston Spirit’s 17th annual Executive Networking Night last week at Boston Marriott Copley Place.
This year, in lieu of a featured speaker, Boston Spirit hosted a panel of national leaders to discuss the wave of anti-LGBT legislation introduced by the federal government. The panel addressed the current environment and informed attendees on what is being done to ensure that the community continues to survive and thrive.
Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell, scheduled to join the panel, arrived a little early to deliver a rousing speech before flying to DC, where she stood with other political leaders in support of the Constitutional right of birthright citizenship, currently being challenged by the Trump administration.
The panel included:
- GLAD Law Executive Director Ricardo Martinez
- HRC Senior VP of Policy & Political Affairs Jodee Winterhof
- ACLU of New York Co-Director James Esseks.
The evening offered a unique and important discussion designed to bring hope and inspiration during these challenging times, and an opportunity for networking, socializing and business conversation.
