It’s been a long, long New England winter, but now it’s time to spring out of the house and hit the road to Provincetown—and who better to lead the way out of hibernation than the region’s bears? Hence this annual weekend produced by the Northeast Ursamen, a club for cubs (and otters and wolves …) and those who admire them. The action-packed schedule for 2025 was yet to be announced when Boston Spirit went to press, but past Out of Hibernation events have included drag bingo, group dinners and even underwear dance parties. At last, all that bare bear skin will be flashed in the warming spring air.
