Nearly a decade after dropping her debut solo album, “Guitars and Microphones,” eccentric alt-rock icon Kate Pierson returns with an eclectic assortment of new tunes: “Radios and Rainbows.” Pierson’s colorful personality has long shone bright as a member of the queer and kooky band the B-52s, but the wide spectrum of songs on “Radios and Rainbows,” from the strutting noir punk of “Evil Love” to the nouveaux disco of “Take Me Back to the Party,” offer even years-long fans an opportunity to see the vibrant bright redhead in a delightfully distinct light.
