First held in 1997, Holly Folly is a festive winter weekend that was originally founded by lesbian events producer Lynette Molnar. The celebration now attracts about 30,000 visitors annually gathering to enjoy fabulous entertainers throughout the weekend, a holiday market, Jingle Bell Run and Champagne Brunch (a Santa run in bathing suits), dance parties, sing-alongs, and drag bingo, to name just some of the fun.
Highlights include:
The Holly Folly Follies — Friday, Dec. 6, 8:30 p.m., presented by The Crown & Anchor in Provincetown Town Hall and featuring many of P’town’s iconic performers in true P’town style.
Annual Holly Folly Jingle Bell Run & Brunch Fundraiser — Saturday, Dec. 7, 9 a.m. “Folks will gather at Fanizzi’s for coffee, strip down, and run through Provincetown to the Lobster Pot Tree before climbing into their favorite once for a celebratory brunch.”
Boston Gay Men’s Chorus: “Bring Your Own Bells” — Saturday, Dec. 7, 8 p.m., Town Hall.
Provincetown’s Famous Holly Folly Inn Stroll — Saturday, Dec. 7, 1–4 p.m., with warm decor, treats and more, plus artisan markets for stocking stuffers.
