Providence, Rhode Island’s own unique LGBTQ+ Pride events are back this year and once again expected to draw the big crowds. This Saturday, June 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., it’s RI PrideFest in District Park, at 120 Peck Street, with over 250 local nonprofits, artisans, businesses, food vendors (including a 21+ spirits tent), a PrideFest Kids Zone, main-stage entertainment and much more. Then, the Illuminated Night Parade steps off at 8 p.m.
Say the organizers, Pride RI, “Rhode Island Pride is thrilled to announce the star-studded lineup for this year’s PrideFest with headlining performances by Grammy Award-winner Motown legend and the recent semi-finalist on the hit TV show, “The Masked Singer,” Thelma Houston, RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Yvie Oddly and Xunami Muse, and American Idol sensation Blake Lewis.”
