The Fenway Institute at Fenway Health—one of the country’s leading care and research centers for LGBTQIA+ people—has a new executive director. Says Fenway:
We are excited to announce that Amy Ben-Arieh has been selected as The Fenway Institute’s new Executive Director. This position attracted a large and talented applicant pool, but Amy’s experience, skillset, and energy made her the best candidate to lead TFI in its next chapter. Amy is very excited to take on this role and has a passion for The Fenway Institute and amplifying its work that we are confident will truly benefit the organization, our faculty and staff, and the communities we serve.
Amy first joined The Fenway Institute in 2016, overseeing research compliance, including Fenway’s Human Research Protection Program, and managing quality assurance and improvement, conflict of interest guidelines, and research integrity efforts. She chaired the Strategic Planning Committee on Education and Policy and serves on the Policy and Compliance Committee overseeing institution-wide policy reviews.
Amy also supervises and mentors early career and experienced professionals and has worked to cultivate a deeply engaged volunteer review panel to foster community trust in our research program. Prior to joining Fenway, Amy worked at Mass General Brigham and K&L Gates in Boston. She is a graduate of the BU School of Public Health and BU School of Law.
Amy officially starts in her new role on April 15 and I hope everyone will join us in congratulating her!
