Paige Turner’s signature catchphrase is “Slurp!” (It’s the NYC-based drag performer’s way of describing a hot guy.) Her holiday show, though, trades “Slurp!” for “Slay!” And you can definitely expect enough live musical numbers and tawdry comedy to fill a sledge. Often described as the love child of Pee Wee Herman and Dolly Parton, Turner brings the kind of charisma you might find in a kid’s show host, and then adds just enough bawdiness to make her performances delightfully adults-only affairs. In other words, buckle your seatbelts—because it’s going to be a bumpy sleigh ride. (And if you like what you experience, take note: Turner will separately bring her tubular nostalgia show “Drag Me to the ’80s” to Winter Rendezvous, the annual gay ski week in Stowe, Vermont, on Saturday, Jan. 20.)
