The Beacons of Light Dinner and Icon Award Ceremony is returning Saturday, April 29, from 7 to 10 p.m., at Hibernian Hall, 184 Dudley Street, Boston. A cocktail reception for VIP guests and honorees, rom 6 to 7 p.m., kicks off the festivities. The event provides an opportunity to celebrate the exceptional leadership, voice and advocacy of individuals and organizations who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to bettering the lives of the LGBTQ community in Massachusetts and across the nation. All proceeds will benefit MassEquality.
At the event, Quincey J. Roberts, Sr. will be honored with MassEquality’s 2023 Icon Award. Roberts is the inaugural Executive Director for the City of Boston’s Mayor’s Office on LGBTQ+ Advancement, a role in which he is charged with ensuring City Hall connects with and serves the needs of the LGBTQ+ community across the city’s neighborhoods.
