Today, November 8, is the 2022 Midterm General Election. As we know all too well, stakes are very high for LGBTQ+ people in this election. If you have not voted early, here is a message from Boston-based GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) Executive Director Janson Wu for you:
Do you have a plan for Election Day? This year’s election could shape our future in so many ways.
At a time when LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive justice, voting rights and other fundamental freedoms are under attack, we all have to show up. That’s why it’s so important to be prepared to cast your vote tomorrow.
Check your registration status, find your polling location, and preview your ballot at Vote.org.

Our work to defend and advance LGBTQ+ rights depends upon a healthy and functioning democracy. With so much on the line, we must do everything we can to keep building a country where the rights and freedoms of all of us are protected. And that means making sure that our friends, family, and neighbors are going to vote too.
On Election Day, and every day, GLAD is committed to the fight for a more just and equal future for all of us.
