After two years of pandemic-drive virtual fundraising, the annual HIV/AIDS benefit bike ride Harbor to the Bay is back with a fully in-person, 20th anniversary event.
The big day is September 17 with H2B’s “usual 68/125-mile rides,” plus a short loop in Provincetown. Cyclists and volunteers can participate in the Boston or P’town rides, or they can create their own physical challenge to raise funds for folks living with HIV/AIDS.
Here’s the official announcement:
We are dedicating Ride 20 to the memory of long-time volunteers Tom Boyden, Joseph Murphy, and Bob Walker.
A huge thank you goes out to MA Ladd for coordinating and working so hard to allow us to continue to use our current website that our AMAZING friend Bob Walker created and lovingly tended and updated for us for 20 years. We apologize for being a bit late to get things up for this year but I promise it will be well worth the wait.
So NOW is the time to get on the website and sign up for our 20th RIDE as we ALL look forward to being back together again this year!
The Registration fee is $40 for Riders and $20 for crew members from NOW until June 30th.
WE NEED YOU, so get going and register today!
Can’t wait to see you!
—Jim Morgrage, on behalf of the H2B Planning Committee
The annual H2B ride benefits four local HIV/AIDS care, prevention and research organizations — Fenway Health, AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, Community Research Initiative and AIDS Action. Since the ride began in 2003, it has raised more than six million dollars for these life-saving organizations.
