“The Quest Continues to Eradicate HIV/AIDS” was the theme at Fenway Health’s 32nd annual Bayard Rustin Community Breakfast, an annual event of Fenway Health. Maine State Senator Craig Hickman, the first Black lawmaker to serve in both chambers of the Pine Tree State legislature, delivered the keynote speech. Prior to being elected to office, Sen. Hickman was an AIDS educator at Fenway Health from 1993 to 1994 and a participant in the National Task Force on AIDS Prevention’s first Gay Men of Color Summit. Spencer Collins IV received the Bayard Rustin Award for courage, and the Healing Our Community Collaborative received the Belynda A. Dunn Award for activism. More: aac.org
