If you thought Pride season was over — well, break out your rainbow attire for one more summertime celebration, because August is when the Connecticut seaport of New London hosts its annual New London Pride bash.
Last year the lineup went virtual due to the pandemic, but now the Constitution State seaport will again host a live series of exciting events, including a final blowout at Ocean Beach Park, right on the waterfront. This year’s festivities run Aug. 16–22, but the fun kicked off yesterday, Aug. 15, with a “Pink Eggs & Glam” drag brunch.

“Who’s in the Neighborhood” talk, on Tuesday, Aug. 17, with OutCT Host Chevelle interviewing community members talking Pride. More here.
New London Pride Karaoke Night, starting at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Dockside Resort Bar. DJ Jay Po spins the tunes for a “touch-less” karaoke experience. (Reservations requested on the event’s Facebook page.) More here.

The New London Pride Festival, on Saturday, Aug. 21, at Ocean Beach Park. The festival is coordinated by OutCT, a non-profit organization dedicated to building a community through educational, cultural, and social programming that promotes acceptance, tolerance, and understanding of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
