Every year, LGBTQ teens in the Pine Tree State find fun and support in the Rainbow Ball, an alternative prom-like party hosted by the organization Out Maine. In 2021, the colorful festivities will move to a virtual format—but there’s good news: Rather than be relegated to a single weekend, the ball will now encompass two months’ worth of events. After months of at-home schooling, teens are still aching for any social outlet. So tell yours about the talent shows, poetry readings, theater workshops and other activities that will be on the agenda when this ball drops them online through mid-May.
