AIDS Walk & Run Boston has a new date and location this year — Sunday, September 26, on DCR’s Carson Beach in South Boston. And while they hope everyone will join them, masked and in person, they’ll also welcome virtual walkers again this year, adopting a hybrid model for their 36th annual major fundraising event.
Plans are for a day of celebration, featuring the Walk/Run, followed by performances, food and fun for all ages. (More details on the new route coming soon at walk.aac.org.)
Every year, hundreds of all ages walk, run and otherwise participate to support Boston’s Fenway Health and AIDS Action’s essential programs and services to support those living with, and at risk of contracting HIV, as they work to get to zero new infections in Massachusetts.
As leaders in the fight against HIV/AIDS, AIDS Action and Fenway work together to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic and to help those living with, or at risk for contracting HIV, to live better lives.
