Even though it’s crucial to keep up physical distancing measures during the winter, it’s also more important than ever to stay connected to one another. That’s why SAGE Maine, a group offering advocacy and social support networks for older LGBTQ folks in the Pine Tree State, has moved its twice-monthly meet-and-greet events online. Typically held on second and fourth Fridays, the events sometimes include special guests—and in January, that will include Robyn McCutcheon, an American diplomat and astronomer who became the first U.S. foreign service officer to publicly transition while posted overseas. You don’t need a passport to meet her, though, just a Zoom connection.
