If seeing Dr. Anthony Fauci on the nightly news is bringing back memories of the 1980s AIDS crisis—you’re not alone. In fact, during this informative, enlightening panel, “‘Echoes of AIDS in the Time of Coronavirus: Lessons and Reflections,” presented by GLAD and Victory Programs, and hosted by Boston’s Museum of Science, you’ll hear from a host of experts about what we can learn from the parallels between the two pandemics. Among them: Douglas Brooks of Gilead Sciences and former head of the White House’s Office of National AIDS policy under President Barack Obama; Ben Klein, senior attorney and AIDS Law Project Director at GLAD, Bill Lottero, program director at the Boston Living Center; and Shirley Royster, longtime AIDS activist and survivor. The panel discussion will be moderated by Dawn Fukuda, Director of the Office of HIV/AIDS in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Infectious Disease.
