Community Research Initiative’s annual summer party may not be hosted at Provincetown’s Red Inn overlooking beautiful Cape Cod Bay this year due to COVID-19, but you can still support CRI’s critical life-saving work at CRI’s Virtual Summer Party in 2020. The event takes place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 8. Festivities include the 2020 Dr. Cal Cohen Founder’s Award presentation, going to David Drake, artistic director of Provincetown Theater and Obie Award-winning actor of the play “The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me,” which he also wrote, about a gay man’s journey of self-discovery through the AIDS crisis. Plus there will be performances by Lakia Mondale and Lilly Rose Valore, and an opportunity to hear more about CRI’s latest research and initiatives.
