With views of the Boston Skyline as the backdrop, Victory Programs held its annual Gratitude Dinner, continuing a tradition going back to 1975. The event featured 11 speakers from across the agency’s 19 housing, prevention, and recovery programs sharing personal reflections on gratitude and how it helped them overcome challenges like substance use disorder, homelessness, and chronic illnesses like HIV/AIDS. The Manny Jefferson Gratitude Awards for excellence in volunteerism went to Steve Jacobs, a long-time volunteer at Victory Programs’ Boston Living Center, and Liberty Mutual Insurance, also a long-term supporter of Victory Programs.
