We may be approaching the shortest day of 2018, but Boston Pride is already looking towards the warmer, brighter days of summer 2019. And they need your help to get started.
Each year, the LGBTQ community in the Greater Boston area is encouraged to suggest Pride themes, and then to vote on their preferred theme (from a pared-down selection of themes).
Nominations of the theme for Boston Pride 2019 are now being taken up until Saturday, January 5, at 11:59 p.m. Click here to nominate your theme name suggestion plus a brief description about it and why you chose it.
Here’s what happens next:
The Boston Pride Committee then gets busy reviewing all the community suggestions and narrowing down the pride theme options to a slate of three to eight themes.
And then the community votes online for their preferred pride theme from the slate of those three to eight favorites. The voting phase opens on Thursday, January 17 and closes at 11:59 PM on Thursday, January 31.
The winning theme is then announced. And then, let the Pride 2019 preparations begin!
