At its fifth annual Come Out and Celebrate gala event on Friday, September 21, OUT MetroWest will be honoring Grace Moreno, executive director of the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce, for dedicating her career to advocacy for all people, regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity.”
The annual gala highlights the contributions of community leaders and raises funds for their LGBTQ youth programs. Past event honorees include Barney Frank, Ed Markey, Janson Wu, and Asa Sevelius.
“Grace is an inspiration to the youth OUT MetroWest serves,” Out MetroWest Executive Director Sawyer Bethel told a reporter for WickedLocal Natick. “We’re thrilled to honor her at this event—she reminds us of the power and potential of the local LGBTQ community.”
The Wicked Local Natick report also reported, “Moreno has more than 20 years of experience leading state and national not-for-profit organizations and has dedicated her career to advocacy for all people, regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity. At the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Moreno seeks to promote economic growth and viability for LGBT-owned and allied businesses, corporations and professionals.
