Throw Out the First Pitch Raffle and Winner Announcement Party, Wednesday, May 2: The Boston Red Sox, Boston Pride and Victory Programs are teaming up to hold a raffle where the winner will not only throw out the first pitch on Pride Night at Fenway (Thursday, June 7), but will also receive four tickets to the game in the State Street Pavilion, free parking in the Ipswich Street garage, dinner for four at Boston Chops, and Red Sox Pride swag! Only 200 tickets are beings sold, $100 each, for the Wednesday, May 2 drawing, 6 to 9 p.m. at Explorateur. For tickets, click here. Proceeds benefit Boston Pride and Victory Programs.
Pride Night at Fenway Park, Thursday, June 7: The Boston Red Sox and Boston Pride have again joined up to present Pride Night at Fenway Park when the Red Sox take on the Detroit Tigers at 7:10 p.m. Back by popular demand is the pre-game Pride Party on the Right Field Roof Deck. Beantown Softball League All-Star Games, Monday, June 11: The Beantown Softball League (BSL) is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and what better way to celebrate that with All-Star Games during Pride Month? The games are free, open to the public and played on Boston Common at 7:30 and 8:45 p.m. Play ball!
Boston Pride Parade, Saturday, June 9: Registration is now open for the annual Boston Pride Parade, and parade officials hope to have as many LGBT sports organizations participating as possible again this year. It’s such a blast, it helps with visibility for the sports and helps break stereotypes. For details, go to bostonpride.org.
nAGLY Tough Mudder Pride Fundraiser, Sunday, June 2: Join the North Shore Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Youth (nAGLY) team in conquering the Tough Mudder obstacle course, while raising money for LGBTQ youth. It’s a double win! After conquering coming out, safe sex, and bullying, this should be no problem for those committed to the cause. Drive for Victory Golf Tournament, Monday, June 25: Victory Programs is hosting its sixth annual Drive for Victory charity golf tournament. And while it’s not specifically geared towards the LGBT sports community, many of the golfers are LGBT and LGBT friendly. This year’s event is back at the beautiful Blue Hill Country Club in Canton. Lowell Spinners Pride Night, Thursday, June 28: The Lowell Spinners are a proud affiliate of the Boston Red Sox and they are hosting their first (hopefully annual) Pride Night!
