The Theater Offensive and Inquilinos Boricuas en Accion (IBA) presented Boston’s first-ever Saint Sebastian Festival (Festival de San Sebastian), an event full of folklore music, dancing, a community parade, “cabezudos” (giant dancing head puppets), theater, poetry, performance, artisan crafts, salsa music and a live Saint Sebastian installation. The festival brought Puerto Rican culture and flair to the South End, with a particular homage to Saint Sebastian’s gender fluid nature.
